Relax and unwind on a scenic and historic 10 mile cruise, headed north up the Cape Fear River to Wilmington. The cruise boasts views of many of the barrier islands, creeks, and wildlife. Along the way you will pass the North Carolina State Port and get to view the massive cranes, as well as the historic lift bridge, and you can observe the famous U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship from the water,  a unique perspective.

Downtown Wilmington offers many options for waterfront restaurants and bars on Front Street and beyond. There is a boardwalk that runs along the river connecting many of the restaurants and businesses where we can dock up and drop off the group for some lunch and shopping. Catch a horse drawn carriage ride to get a quick tour of the city and hear a bit of the history.

On the return boat ride back to Carolina Beach we are able to explore many of the islands of the Cape Fear and the crooked creeks that shoot off along the river. Enjoy a peaceful ride up creeks through abandoned rice fields with their abundance of birds and wildlife. Always keep your eyes peeled and cameras ready to capture to catch the occasional alligator that pops up to see what is going on. We can hop off on uninhabitied island in the river and explore. The large live oak trees make for great, easy climbing for the kids.
